MEET THE FOUNDERS

Global Fusion Music & Arts was founded on 15th March 2001 by Louisa Le Marchand, Gill Swan, Kaz Kaozi and Sukh Saini. The four musicians were part of the Fusion Factory Band who released the album Opiate Rhythmsin 2001 and went on to tour and performed with legendary Congolese musician Papa Wemba. After spending years promoting world music, the four founders decided to set up GFMA to expand the work to other areas including supporting the community.

EXHIBITIONS

GFMA have produced many exhibitions over the years, working with artists from around the world and in the UK. The main focus of these exhibitions is to promote both established and up and coming artists and to expose their work to as wide an audience as possible.

VOLUNTEERS

As GFMA is run by and depends on volunteers for its success, we offer training, work experience and work placements. Volunteers who have and continue to support the work we do have seen the benefits of making friends, learning new skills and moving on to employment that fits their skill base.

THEATRE

From WW1 to Windrush, GFMA Theatre Production Team has delivered an impressive range of powerful and diverse performances.
The late great writer and ex-soldier Robert J. Fanshawe was a key contributor, writing and acting in productions such as All About the Boys (2014) and Tribute to Martin Luther King (2019, Greenwich Theatre).
In 2024, GFMA celebrated the Windrush generation with Voices from Windrush and the Diaspora, and honoured Chinese culture through The Pearl Dragon Story, a vibrant blend of theatre, music and dance.
